I walked along the Thames from the London Eye toward Westminster. The river reflected the gray skies, and the sound of Big Ben echoed through the air. I bought a cup of tea from a street vendor and savored the warmth against the cool wind.

In the afternoon I visited a small bookstore in Notting Hill. The old wooden shelves, handwritten notes, and quiet corners made it easy to lose track of time. I left with a used travel journal — the first page already waiting for my words.
