Colosseum Morning

I arrived at the Colosseum early enough to avoid most of the crowd. The stones felt warm under the sun, and each arch carried echoes from centuries ago. I stood quietly imagining gladiators and cheering crowds.

Trastevere Evening

As the sun set, I crossed the Tiber River to Trastevere. Lanterns lit narrow streets, voices filled the air, and the smell of pasta drifted from restaurants. I sat outside, ordered cacio e pepe, and felt like time stretched just a little longer.
